A lot of people are worried about coronavirus and shops have been running out of hand sanitiser. Washing hands with soap and water is the best preventative method for trying to avoid virus transmission. Hand sanitiser can be used as a top up aid but should NOT replace washing of hands.
If you are having trouble getting hold of sanitiser and think it would make you feel a little easier, below is a very simple hand sanitiser recipe.
The NHS is however advising against people making their own due to the risk of chemical burns or incorrect alcohol level to be effective! You have been warned!
160 ml 99% isopropyl alcohol
80ml aloe vera gel
8-10 drops essential oil (optional)
Just mix the above together and place in a suitable dispenser.
